v1.17.0

UpdatedJun 1, 2026Reading time1 min read

Released 2026-06-01. You can now control how long an agent works on a single run.

Max steps per run

  • Every agent has a Max steps per run setting (on the agent's edit page, under AI settings): the number of reasoning/tool steps it may take before it must give a final answer.
  • The ceiling is set by your plan. You can set a lower value on any agent to cap how much work — and cost — a single run can use; leave it blank to use your plan's limit.
  • If an agent can't finish within its step limit, the run ends as failed with a clear reason — you can adjust the task or retry it. (Runs are also still bounded by an overall time limit.)
  • The pricing comparison shows each plan's Max steps per agent run.
