v1.8.0

UpdatedJun 1, 2026Reading time1 min read

Released 2026-05-31. Plan-based data retention is now actively enforced. Until now your plan's retention windows were configured but nothing was deleted; from this release a daily process clears accumulated data once it passes your plan's window.

Retention windows are now enforced

  • Three kinds of accumulated data are now cleared on your plan's retention window: form submissions, visualizer data rows, and workflow run history. (AI assistance audit rows have followed plan retention since v1.1.0.)
  • These are soft-deleted first — they disappear from your dashboards immediately — and permanently removed 90 days later. During that 90-day grace window you can ask us to restore them via /legal/data-request.
  • Plans whose retention is set to unlimited keep their data indefinitely. You can export your full dataset at any time via /legal/data-request before retention takes effect.
  • Your plan's retention windows are shown on the Pricing page and in your team owner's plan settings.

Trash is now auto-purged

  • When you delete a form, visualizer, playground, workflow, or app, it moves to a soft-deleted state and leaves your active views. Soft-deleted items are kept for 90 days (restore via support), after which they are permanently removed along with their nested content (submissions, visualizer rows, playground assets, run history).

Holds and restrictions are respected

  • Data covered by a legal hold or a GDPR Article 18 processing restriction is preserved and skipped by these purges until the hold or restriction is lifted.
  • Requesting deletion of your data is unaffected — verified deletion requests are honored through /legal/data-request as before.

For the full per-category detail and legal basis, see the Data Retention Schedule.
