v3.8.0

UpdatedJun 28, 2026Reading time1 min read

Released 2026-06-28. Plan AI limits now apply only to AI that runs on FlowFn's key — bring your own key and the limits step aside.

Changed

  • BYOK bypasses plan AI gates. When an AI call runs on a team AI connection or your own API key (custom mode), the plan's AI-model allow-list no longer applies — you can pick any available model or provider, since your key pays for it. This covers builder AI assistance, agent runs, workflow AI-model tasks, playground AI actions, and stream Tools AI. AI that runs on FlowFn's system key is still bound by your plan.

Added

  • Exclude system AI providers per plan. Admins can block specific FlowFn-funded providers (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, Grok) from a plan's system key. When a member's preferred provider is excluded, the assistant transparently falls back to an allowed one. Those providers remain usable with the team's or member's own key (BYOK).
